Heifer Project International

During a visit to Heifer Project International’s Northeast Educational Center at Rutland Farm our youth learn about the Heifer Project’s goals and the plight of children in third-world countries through farming chores and experiencing simulated global villages. We follow through with additional studies of hunger, the environment issues and programs of Heifer Project in the Sunday school classroom.

Fundraising to support Heifer begins in December with the annual Christmas gift-giving sponsorship. The community is asked to make a meaningful gift of livestock to give a loved one, helping children and families around the world become more self-reliant.
